Crane to Replace Rooftop Equip. at Gate A3

Philadelphia, PA · near Philadelphia Intl (0.4 mi)

Returned to proponentDetermined - No Hazard150 ft AGL

What this outcome means

The FAA sent the case back to the filer rather than issuing a determination. This is the most common non-clean outcome and usually means something has to change or be supplied before the study can finish — not that the project was refused.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"Philadelphia International Airport is replacing air handling units on the roof of Concourse A-East. A total of 2 new units will be installed using a temporary crane at Gate A-3 and Gate A-9. Only one lift will occur at a time and the crane will be properly marked. Crane elevation will not exceed 150 feet. A separate 7460 case will be submitted for the crane use at each gate. For each 7460 case a separate crane lift plan will be provided that provides the crane specifications and indicates the footprint of the crane and location of the equipment on the rooftop."

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file
