This estimate uses the airport reference point elevation and the straight-line distance you entered to compute the 100:1 notice surface. A full LOS Analyzer screening additionally computes the horizontal, conical, and transitional surfaces; places each individual runway end; pulls terrain elevation along the actual sightline; and corrects for earth curvature and atmospheric refraction — all factors this quick-check cannot model. Results here are a go/no-go directional signal, not a determination.
