"The Squab Solar Project (Project) is a 132 MWac solar facility with a 1 050-acre footprint. The Project interconnects to a 138kV transmission line operated by Mid-Atlantic Interstate Transmission which will require a new switchyard and substation adjacent to the transmission line. The tallest structure in the substation and switchyard will be four H-frames at a height of 60 feet above ground surface. To transmit energy to the step-up transformer in the substation an above ground MV line will be employed utilizing 40-foot-tall steel monopoles carrying up to 3 circuits and two communications lines. Project construction is proposed to begin in mid-April 2026 and will be fully operational by December 31 2027. The pre-screening tool indicated that an FAA notice is required for the four H-frames and a portion of the above ground MV line poles in which a separate notice of construction is being filed for each type of infrastructure."
