Determination of no hazardDetermined - No Hazard65 ft AGL

What this outcome means

The FAA studied the proposal and concluded it would not be a hazard to air navigation. A no-hazard determination is not permanent — it carries an expiration date, and if the structure is not built by then the case has to be re-filed.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"Replace structure 102 on the Bernardsville-Gillette B730 34.5kV circuit and structures 2A/2B and 3A/3B on the Gillette-Martinsville I737 and D758 34.5kV circuits with steel poles. These wood poles are currently in standing water and FirstEnergy would like to replace them with an alternate material. Bernardsville-Gillette B730 34.5kV and Gillette-Martinsville D758 34.5kV currently have 397.5 kcmil 18/1 ACSR conductor and are shielded by 3#6 Alumoweld. Gillette-Martinsville I737 34.5kV currently has 556.5 kcmil 26/7 ACSR conductor and is shielded by 3#6 Alumoweld."

Screening a structure of your own?

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file

LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
