Wright Patterson AFB, OH · near Wright-Patterson Afb (1.2 mi)

Determination of no hazardDetermined - No Hazard35 ft AGL

What this outcome means

The FAA studied the proposal and concluded it would not be a hazard to air navigation. A no-hazard determination is not permanent — it carries an expiration date, and if the structure is not built by then the case has to be re-filed.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"Attached list of construction equipment is requested to construct new flush mount test wells. The highest equipment requested is a 35 ft sonic drilling rig. There will also be Frac tanks staged that 11 ft in height for 30 days. The field work will be conducted in 3 stages. The 3 stages are 1) Groundwater Characterization 2) Well Network Installation and Sampling and 3) Aquifer Testing. Each stage is expected to last from 1 to 3 months each over the course of the field work starting in or around June 2026 through Oct 2027."

Screening a structure of your own?

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file

LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
