What this outcome means

The FAA sent the case back to the filer rather than issuing a determination. This is the most common non-clean outcome and usually means something has to change or be supplied before the study can finish — not that the project was refused.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"Temporary concrete batch plant to support rehabilitation of Runway18-36 (9 006' x 150') and associated airfield construction at Dane County Regional Airport. The plant consists of a RexCon Mobile12 SE portable batch plant including aggregate bins conveyors and mixer along with portable cement silos (maximum height approximately 40 ft AGL). No permanent foundations will be constructed. The facility will be located on airport property outside of runway and taxiway object free areas and will be coordinated with Airport Operations. No fixed radio frequency transmitting equipment is included. All equipment will be removed upon completion of construction."

Screening a structure of your own?

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file

LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
