Fireworks Display
CARRABASSETT VALLEY, ME · near Sugarloaf Rgnl (0.0 mi)
What this outcome means
The FAA sent the case back to the filer rather than issuing a determination. This is the most common non-clean outcome and usually means something has to change or be supplied before the study can finish — not that the project was refused.
The proposal, in the filer's words
"The event will consist of a fireworks display launched prior to the pavement at the approach end of runway 35. Barricades will be used to mark and X on the runway begining at 4pm local on July 4th until 8am local July 5th. (Recurring event annually) The airport is day use only because there are no lights at the airport so an FOD sweep of the airport will be made at sunrise on July 5th. No temporary structures other than the launch pad for the fireworks and the barricades to close the runway will be errected. A Notam will be posted as soon as allowed prior to the event. (normally 7 days in advance)\r\n\r\nSee attached PDF (July 4th Closure Map 2025)"

Screening a structure of your own?
Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file
LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
