What this outcome means

The FAA sent the case back to the filer rather than issuing a determination. This is the most common non-clean outcome and usually means something has to change or be supplied before the study can finish — not that the project was refused.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"Restoring a contractor laydown area. No hard surfaces just gravel and quarry spalls. Point 2 crosses the FAA fiber line. It has already been potholed for depth and the design will not impact the line. A cable splicing contractor will be on call should there be any issues. Any equipment in the runway OFA will be transitory (used as an access road) and will not be stored there. Equipment will penetrate FAR Part 77 but will remain below TERPS. 25' height represents equipment and stockpile height. Coordinates are to FAA 1A accuracy."

Screening a structure of your own?

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file

LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
