Beaumont, TX · near Beaumont Muni (8.3 mi)

Determination of no hazardDetermined - No Hazard266 ft AGL

What this outcome means

The FAA studied the proposal and concluded it would not be a hazard to air navigation. A no-hazard determination is not permanent — it carries an expiration date, and if the structure is not built by then the case has to be re-filed.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"The non-transmitting structural support tower to support mechanical equipment within the Port of Beaumont Port Authority's Property limits. The new tower structure supports material-handling and transfer equipment used to convey bulk cement to the adjacent silo structures. The top of steel for the tower structure is EL 293’-5” with adjacent grade EL of approximately EL28. The total structure height above the existing grade is 265.5’ and carries a footprint of approximately 32’ long by 34’ wide. The structure is a carbon-steel open-to-air support structure braced and without siding or enclosure.\nThe existing facility previously demolished was for Louis Dreyfus and was a grain elevator. This tower that is being noticed to the FAA is approximately 26.5 ft taller than the grain elevator head house tower previously on site at its highest point. The online pre-screening tool was run using the provided data and we were advised that this notice is required under the FAA."

Screening a structure of your own?

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file

LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
