What this outcome means

The FAA sent the case back to the filer rather than issuing a determination. This is the most common non-clean outcome and usually means something has to change or be supplied before the study can finish — not that the project was refused.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"This notice is for the Wasilla Municipal Airport's (IYS) Construct Taxiway K and Related Improvements Project. The project includes constructing a new Taxiway apron access road lease lots and unclassified excavation waste area. The points in this case represent the entire area in which haul trucks could possibly be running. This includes Aviation Avenue the entirety of Work Areas 1 2 and 3 as well as the haul route adjacent to Runway 4/22 that connects the Taxiway K work area to the waste disposal site. These areas are depicted on sheet G2.01 of the attached CSPP."

Screening a structure of your own?

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file

LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
