V2X Roadside unit at I-94 State St exit
Ann Arbor, MI · near Ann Arbor Muni (0.9 mi)
What this outcome means
The FAA studied the proposal and concluded it would not be a hazard to air navigation. A no-hazard determination is not permanent — it carries an expiration date, and if the structure is not built by then the case has to be re-filed.
The proposal, in the filer's words
"The University of Michigan requests FAA clearance to operate a C-V2X roadside unit RSU at the east bound exit ramp to I-94 on State Street in Ann Arbor MI. The C-V2X RSU complies with all FCC regulations governing its use including broadcasting only on channels in the upper 30 MHz of the 5.9 GHz band. The RSU will be mounted on an existing traffic pole at the intersection and the RSU will be mounted at a height lower than other structures already present in the intersection. This application was previously submitted with an incorrect AGL of 19 feet. This resubmission provides a correct AGL of 30 feet."

Screening a structure of your own?
Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file
LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
