What this outcome means

The FAA sent the case back to the filer rather than issuing a determination. This is the most common non-clean outcome and usually means something has to change or be supplied before the study can finish — not that the project was refused.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"The City of Wadsworth is currently undergoing design for a new AWOS installation at Wadsworth Municipal Airport (3G3). A siting study was performed and the location indicated in this submittal is for the wind sensor mounted on an antenna. Various other equipment and sensors will be mounted in the direct vicinity but the wind sensor will be the highest point of the installation. This submittal is for the purposes of having the airspace clearances confirmed. This is associated with design and a subsequent submittal will occur for the actual construction of the AWOS."

Screening a structure of your own?

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file

LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
