Millwood Trail
Spokane, WA · near Felts Fld (0.7 mi)
What this outcome means
The FAA sent the case back to the filer rather than issuing a determination. This is the most common non-clean outcome and usually means something has to change or be supplied before the study can finish — not that the project was refused.
The proposal, in the filer's words
"The Millwood Trail project is a proposed shared used path that will extend from Spokane Community College (at Green St.) to Felts Field (at Fancher Way) in the City of Spokane. The proposed alignment will follow the existing trail until it reaches Surro Ave. The trail will then continue along the North side of Surro Ave and cross Waterworks St. The proposed trail along the Airport will connect two existing trails and will be constructed within the edge of the outer airport property. The trail will follow the existing fence line of the 2014 N Waterwoks St. property and will then continue East and run adjacent to the existing fencing North of the railroad tracks until it meets up with Rutter Ave. Rutter Ave will be narrowed to make room for the shared use path which will run along the existing southern curb until reaching Fancher Way.\n\nThe 10-ft wide asphalt shared use path will have 2-ft unpaved grass shoulders on either side. Excavation for path installation will be shallow in nature not exceeding 1-ft. The finished height of the trail will be less than 1-ft above ground level. A gate will be installed in existing fencing and new fencing will be installed to contain pedestrian and cyclist access to the trail. The height of the new fencing will not exceed 6ft."

Screening a structure of your own?
Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file
LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
