What this outcome means

The FAA sent the case back to the filer rather than issuing a determination. This is the most common non-clean outcome and usually means something has to change or be supplied before the study can finish — not that the project was refused.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"New airport electrical vault building to be constructed adjacent to the existing apron and taxilane. The existing vault is connected to the terminal building and needs to be relocated and replaced. The new location provides for a good connection to the existing electrical system. The building is planned to be a concrete masonry unit (CMU) or prefabricated structure with a maximum height of 15' from existing grade. There will also be trenching to provide for connection to the existing electrical system. A separate case will be submitted for the temporary construction in the vicinity of the apron."

Screening a structure of your own?

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file

LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
