ASJ - Runway Lighting Rehab - Staging Area
Aulander, NC · near Tri-County At Henry Joyner Fld (0.1 mi)
What this outcome means
The FAA sent the case back to the filer rather than issuing a determination. This is the most common non-clean outcome and usually means something has to change or be supplied before the study can finish — not that the project was refused.
The proposal, in the filer's words
"The Airfield Lighting Reconstruction project includes removal and replacement of the existing medium intensity runway and taxiway lights at the Tri-County Airport (ASJ). The project includes removal of the existing base and stake mounted lights and installation of new LED base mounted runway edge threshold and taxiway edge lights. All new cables installed in new conduit will be installed for the system. This project also includes the installation of new PAPIs REILs and new base mounted signs.\nAll work will occur within the Runway and Taxiway Safety Areas. The Tri-County Airport will remain closed to air traffic during the work accomplished under this project. Contract construction time is 45 calendar days for site work following a procurement phase of 70 calendar days. See attached Figure for Project limits Contractor’s Staging Area limits and Temporary Construction equipment. Construction equipment and stockpile/staging area are limited to a height of 25 feet."

Screening a structure of your own?
Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file
LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
