Chimney Smoke Stack - 500 Feet in Height
Red Rock, OK · near Perry Muni (13.4 mi)
What this outcome means
The FAA studied the proposal and concluded it would not be a hazard to air navigation. A no-hazard determination is not permanent — it carries an expiration date, and if the structure is not built by then the case has to be re-filed.
The proposal, in the filer's words
"Perform a new aeronautical study for smoke stack #1 500 ft. The facility's current ASN#1976-ASW-1408-OE cannot be located within the FAA system due to age (1976). A new study is requested to acquire current ASN#s for the smoke stack # 1. Two stacks total with a separate study requested for each stack.\nThe high concrete chimney stack with internal brick lining is not marked or painted. It is concrete colored with a \nreinforced floor approximately 25 feet above elevation. There are 4 strobe lights at the 250 foot elevation and 4 strobe lights at the 500 foot elevation on each stack and are oriented North South East and West. The strobe lights alternate between unit stacks 40 times per minute . Unit 1 flashes then unit 2 flashes then unit 1 flashes again… All strobe lights on each stack flash at the same time and have 3 modes of operation for the time of day that changes the strobe intensity. All of the lights are white."

Screening a structure of your own?
Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file
LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
