Rayburn RES II
Sherman, TX · near Sherman Muni (3.6 mi)
What this outcome means
The FAA studied the proposal and concluded it would not be a hazard to air navigation. A no-hazard determination is not permanent — it carries an expiration date, and if the structure is not built by then the case has to be re-filed.
The proposal, in the filer's words
"This proposal is for PSCs crane at site to be utilized for construction. PSC plans on utilizing a lattice boom crane to erect new equipment to be installed at the Rayburn RES II construction site next to the existing Rayburn RES I unit. This crane will start by assisting civil crews at ground level then later erect the equipment at site including the qty. 10 SGT 800 power units. These units are approximately 150 ft long 50 ft wide average 45 ft in height with the west side stack at 101 ft in height. These units are planned to be erected in December and the stack at 101ft to be erected late December 2026 to mid January 2027. Currently working with Rayburn electric and our site General contractor to determine who's responsible for requesting permitting on the permanent structures to be installed."

Screening a structure of your own?
Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file
LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
