What this outcome means

The FAA sent the case back to the filer rather than issuing a determination. This is the most common non-clean outcome and usually means something has to change or be supplied before the study can finish — not that the project was refused.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"This study is for the work area covered by Phase 4. Work will consist of pavement marking application. The improvements will take place outside the RSA of Runway 17R-35L and within the RSA of Runway 17L-35R. Runway 17L-35R Taxiway C Taxiway D and Taxiway E will be CLOSED for the duration of Phase 4. Taxiway A from 35L to Taxiway C will be CLOSED for the duration of Phase 4. Taxiway A from north of Taxiway C to Runway 17L will be OPEN for the duration of Phase 4. All other airport pavements will remain OPEN for the duration of Phase 4."

Screening a structure of your own?

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file

LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
