Proposed Tower
Laredo, TX · near Laredo Intl (8.7 mi)
What this outcome means
The FAA studied the proposal and concluded it would not be a hazard to air navigation. A no-hazard determination is not permanent — it carries an expiration date, and if the structure is not built by then the case has to be re-filed.
The proposal, in the filer's words
"International Towers LLC (ITL) is constructing a communications site in south Laredo Texas approximately 8.5 miles south of Laredo International Airport off Highway 20 between Celito Lindo Boulevard and Mangana Hein Road. The area is primarily open brushland with limited surrounding development. As a subcontractor under BCCG Caddell on a government-funded project ITL is responsible for the installation of a 160-foot communications tower and associated equipment shelter to support project operations. The tower is planned to include dual medium-intensity lighting. ITL is currently seeking confirmation on whether aviation orange and white painting will be required in accordance with FAA obstruction marking standards and to verify final lighting requirements for compliance. Note that frequency is left blank as it is classified."

Screening a structure of your own?
Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file
LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
