Asphalt Plant Materials Storage Silo
Beckwourth, CA · near Nervino (0.5 mi)
What this outcome means
The FAA studied the proposal and concluded it would not be a hazard to air navigation. A no-hazard determination is not permanent — it carries an expiration date, and if the structure is not built by then the case has to be re-filed.
The proposal, in the filer's words
"Mercer-Fraser Company proposes to install and operate a portable asphalt concrete plant on a Light Industrial–zoned property in Plumas County California for a period of up to 15 years. The project would involve the temporary placement and operation of a portable drum mix plant to produce conventional and rubberized asphalt for use in local and regional construction and roadway projects. Ancillary components would include storage tanks generators aggregate stockpiles material handling equipment and truck loading areas. Operations would occur on an as-needed basis and may vary in duration and hours depending on project demand. No permanent structures are proposed and the plant would be removed from the site upon completion of operations. Tallest component of the proposed project is a materials storage silo that is 45 feet tall."

Screening a structure of your own?
Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file
LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
