NEWARK, NJ · near Newark Liberty Intl (1.3 mi)

Returned to proponentDetermined - No Hazard200 ft AGL

What this outcome means

The FAA sent the case back to the filer rather than issuing a determination. This is the most common non-clean outcome and usually means something has to change or be supplied before the study can finish — not that the project was refused.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"Temporary use of construction equipment for station work at the proposed Station 1 2 & 3 and extending through the guideway limits in between each station.. The work is part of the AirTrain Newark Replacement Program - Guideway and Stations Project.\r\n\r\nPlanned activities include station steel erection guideway girder erection mechanical installations and station finishes all of which will require the use of a crane. The tallest equipment anticipated on site is an LTM 1650 or a comparable model with a maximum boom tip height of approximately 136' AGL.\r\n\r\nAll equipment will be used on a temporary basis and removed/stowed when not in use."

Screening a structure of your own?

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file

LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
