What this outcome means

The FAA sent the case back to the filer rather than issuing a determination. This is the most common non-clean outcome and usually means something has to change or be supplied before the study can finish — not that the project was refused.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"The project entails rehabilitation and replacement of sanitary sewers at Philadelphia International Airport. The task includes trenched pipe replacement cured-in-place pipe lining of existing sewers rehabilitation of existing manholes and bypass pumping of sanitary sewer flows. The project will be performed at four main work areas: Work Area 1 Work Area 2 Work Area 4 and Work Area 4. Work Area 4 is comprised of two construction work areas one north of Runway 8-26 and one south of Runway 8-26. The area south of Runway 8-26 will also contain a temporary staging and stockpile area. This 7460 form applies to the southern portion of Work Area 4 that contains the temporary stockpile staging and construction working areas. The points in this submission indicate the outer corners of the combined boundary of the stockpile staging and construction working areas as well as the area between those areas. Points 1 2 3 and 6 represent the northeastern southeastern southwestern and northwestern corners of the construction working area respectively. Point 4 represents the southwestern corner of the temporary stockpile area. Point 5 represents the northwestern corner of the temporary staging area. A separate 7460 form will be submitted for the portion of Work Area 4 that is north of Runway 8-26."

Screening a structure of your own?

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file

LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
