Determination of no hazardDetermined - No Hazard67 ft AGL

What this outcome means

The FAA studied the proposal and concluded it would not be a hazard to air navigation. A no-hazard determination is not permanent — it carries an expiration date, and if the structure is not built by then the case has to be re-filed.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"This project is Phase 2 of the Ramp Lighting Project for Terminals A-East and E at Philadelphia International Airport. This project comprises upgrades to ramp lighting for Terminals A-East and E. Major construction components of the project include: demolition of existing building-mounted roof-mounted and ground-mounted lights; excavation and construction of light foundations; erection of light poles and fixtures; cabling and conduit installation from fixtures to airport substations; and concrete slab construction. This submission applies to the light poles proposed for installation adjacent to the gates around Terminal A-East. This 7460 form is for a point at the southern tip of Terminal A-East (identified as Point 4 in the attached documentation). The point in this submission pertains to one of the proposed permanent light pole locations. There will be separate cases submitted for each light pole proposed for this project at Terminals A-East and E. In addition two separate cases will be submitted for the temporary mobile construction crane one for the Terminal A-East work and one for the Terminal E work."

Screening a structure of your own?

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file

LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
