What this outcome means
The FAA studied the proposal and concluded it would not be a hazard to air navigation. A no-hazard determination is not permanent — it carries an expiration date, and if the structure is not built by then the case has to be re-filed.
The proposal, in the filer's words
"Proposal for the construction of Pike Residence Hall an 18-story student residence building at Wentworth Institute of Technology. The building varies in elevation between three connected towers and a lower podium lobby (Point 1). The chute at Point 10 represents the highest point of the building at 254' AGL/268' AMSL. The surrounding parapet outlined by Points 4 5 and 9 and mechanical equipment on the east side of the building (Points 6 7 and 8) are slightly lower than Point 10. The building points represent the height of the nearest mechanical equipment at the associated roof level plus a 10-foot buffer to account for potential variations in the mechanical units and construction. A site plan figure and axonometric view are attached for further details and visuals. Construction crane(s) will be filed at a later date."

Screening a structure of your own?
Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file
LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
