"The scope of this project is to replace the existing 8’x16’ MIA Localizer (LOC) equipment shelter with a new 10’x16’ Dupont fiberglass shelter provided as government furnished material (GFM). The equipment located within and connected to the LOC equipment shelter will be carefully disconnected the existing LOC shelter will be removed and properly disposed of. The new LOC shelter will be placed and the associated electronic equipment will be carefully installed and reconnected. A new 10’x16’ concrete foundation will be poured for the proposed shelter and a new concrete foundation will be poured for the construction of proposed fiber communications rack. Due to the existing site grades additional fill is required to level the area around the new shelter and a small concrete block retaining wall is proposed. The work includes upgrade of the grounding bonding shielding and lightning protection of new installed LOC shelter."
