"This proposal is for the construction of a new deployable Final Approach and Takeoff Area (FATO) to support Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) aircraft operations. The FATO will consist of a 100 ft. x 100 ft surface. The surface construction will be a deployable high-strength landing pad (made of steel) with EB105A compliant markings. The maximum height of this alteration at any point will be approximately16 inches AGL. The FATO will be marked in accordance with FAA Engineering Brief (EB) 105A and AC 150/5390-2D including a 50 ft. diameter Touchdown and Liftoff (TLOF) area and a Touchdown/Positioning Circle (TDPC). This FATO will be optionally lighted for night operations with FAA-approved lights per EB 105A.\n\nThe solar panels will supply power to this new deployable FATO. The solar panel configuration includes concrete footings solar panel metal frames and 8 solar panels (approximately 3'x4' per panel). This is being done in coordination with the SFO ADO."
