2026-17 Sand Storage

Anchorage, AK · near Elmendorf Afb (0.3 mi)

Determination of no hazardDetermined - No Hazard41 ft AGL

What this outcome means

The FAA studied the proposal and concluded it would not be a hazard to air navigation. A no-hazard determination is not permanent — it carries an expiration date, and if the structure is not built by then the case has to be re-filed.

The proposal, in the filer's words

"The scope of this project is to construct a new pre-engineered sand storage facility. Installation of asphalt and gravel roads surrounding facility and the relocation of a portion of the airfield fence is required for the building to service the airfield and cantonment area independently. This project is part of a phased plan incorporated with the Deicer storage tank (2026-AAL-23-OE) and the Deicer Pumphouse (2026-AAL-24-OE). I made and error when submitting 2026-AAL-23-OE. The tank is in fact permanent construction. Please correct or return for clarification."

Screening a structure of your own?

Check Part 77 and the tower's line of sight before you file

LOS Analyzer screens a proposed structure against FAA Part 77 surfaces and the control tower's sightline to the runway, terrain-aware, in minutes. It is a preliminary screening — not an FAA determination and not a substitute for a licensed engineering review.
